Child trafficking in the teenagers words

Asociatia Telefonul Copilului has launched the project "Child trafficking in the teenagers’ words”, an initiative which aims at educating children and youth on the risks caused by human trafficking. The programme comes as a natural consequence of the increase in the number of cases of sexual abuse and child trafficking registered last year at 116 111 compared to 2010.

“Based on the concept <nice promises can hide unpleasant things>, the project aims at informing children and adolescents from Moldova and Transylvania regions, rural areas, in order to prevent child trafficking. The initiative is funded by the Netherlands Embassy, through FSA funds and will run until 15th of June 2012. Partners involved in implementing the initiative are: the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sports, the National Agency against Trafficking in Persons – the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Romtelecom and Cosmote...
